Stampers' Sampler Publication

Hello friends!  We had some errands to run yesterday and we got home a complimentary copy of Stampers' Sampler was in the mail.  Woo-hoo! The first thing I do is flip through the pages looking for my art and there it was, an embossed friend card with a cute little acrylic bird :)  The "friend" stamp and embossing powder are by WOW!

Creating With Vintage Illustrations” CD Winners and Somerset Life Publication

While we’re talking about Crafty Secrets, I have some exciting news to share.    Two of my Tea Towels were published in Somerset Life Magazine, a Stampington and Company Publication.  The tea towels were inspired by my Great Grandma Reed and I wrote the article to reflect on some fond childhood memories.

The Canvas Heart is Basically Bare, all clear stamps are Crafty Secrets, Ribbon is May Arts and my sweet mom crocheted the flower!  The heart has been misted with Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels.

Remember my Smith and Corona Typewriter Metal Dolls that were published in Art Doll Quarterly, Spring 2010 Edition?  WELL, my art sparked a “Metal Doll Challenge” and the results are in the Aug./Sept./October issue of Art Doll Quarterly.

The little Angel Pin is made using a tiny screw.  The Child in a Wagon is made using a variety of metal scraps!

Somerset Memories Publication

I’m so excited because I got my free copy of Somerset Memories today!!! My three projects are on page 82 :) This is a beautiful publication starting from the cover to the last page! My projects are made using stir sticks for paint. I used my Bind-It-All to bind two of my projects and the other has a ribbon hanger. These are all treasured heritage memories and I’ve used cherished photo’s of my family on the Reed (mom’s) side. There’s a five generation photo of My Grandpa, Mom, me, my daughter Missy and my first Grand-daughter Cadee! I remember this day fondly as we sat and visited with Grandpa and enjoyed spending the day with him! There is also a photo of my Uncle Vernon (Buck) Reed and I remember him spoiling my two Sister’s and I…the good ole days:) My Great Grandma and Grandpa and Great-Great Grandma and Grandpa are also included. My Great Great Grandpa was a Minister and my Mom has shared some funny family stories that were passed on to her!! They really are just TOO funny to share!

Life is GOOD in Somerset LIFE!

One of my goals this year was to be published in Stampington and Company, Somerset Life magazine. TODAY, I got my wish and was really surprised when I opened the package and it was Somerset Life because I was expecting the Somerset Memories Magazine. I know, I know, this is a nice problem to have :) So here's the art they choose and I'll share my next publication as soon as I get it :)
The best part is, I used one of my favorite manufacturer Clear Art Stamps by Crafty Secrets!
