Home Décor Using Ribbon Spools and Vintage Thread Spools

Hello friends!  I’ve been visiting your blogs and see many of you are in the full swing of Christmas.  I don’t have my tree set up yet, but I’m feeling the pressure..LOL!  Maybe this weekend.  Although we are tree-less, the house is beginning to look a LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!  So many handmade treasures perched throughout the house.  I decided to recycle many of my ribbon spools and thought I’d share so you’ll have time for a little DIY home décor, too.

Creating With Vintage Illustrations by Crafty Secrets

Hello friends :) I'll be cooking for the family tomorrow and we're planning a lot of traditional Thanksgiving foods. Turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberries, pies and plenty of home made bread and salads! I have so much to be thankful for. Wishing all my USA buddies a very Happy Thanksgiving!  I count the many friendships through blogging as one of the top blessings. So, thank you!
Just a reminder that the new Crafty Secrets, "Creating With Vintage Illustrations" CD is available for pre-order :)

Guest Designer: Clearsnap

Hello friends!  If you're here for the sweet little train giveaway, please scroll down.  I'm thrilled to be a Guest Designer for Clearsnap for November!  I created a "Thankful Album".  I just love the fluid chalk inkpads and the ever so sparkly glitter!

Here's how to create the album:Start with a variety of shapes and sizes of chipboard. Lay the shape on the desired print and trace around the shape. Cover the front of each of the piece with Forever Fall Collection. Cover the back with a solid. Ink the front and back with Fluid Chalk, Autumn Pastels. After all the pages have been covered, lay them out and decide on the layout of the album. For the back page on mine, I glued two shapes together so I would have a higher back page.Once you’ve decided on the layout of the album, using the Bind-It-All, punch the sides. Bind with 1” O-Wires. Decorate inner pages with Design Adhesives and glitter. Add ribbon and trim as desired. Hot glue the Autumn Spray and glittered branches in place.

Santa's Bringing a Train Load Of Baker's Twine and It MAY Be Coming To YOU!

Santa's Bringing a  "Train Load of Baker's Twine" and you may be the lucky recipient! I spotted this sweet little train while shopping and fell in love with it. The little doors open and have been stamped with numbers 1-24 and each contains a sampling of Really Reasonable Bakers Twine! The original colors were quite bright so I distressed it and gave it a vintage look with mists and some of my favorite Christmas papers. See the little smoke stacks all dressed up in Cherry Baker's Twine? So, I'll randomly choose one lucky person from the comments here on RRR blog and on my personal blog. I'll announce the winner here and on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog on November 27th! TIS THE SEASON...so be sure to send your friends!

OH!  And have you joined in on the current challenge?  Is CAS (Clean and Simple) and we'd love to have you join in the fun!
